Year 2 Bird spotting

As part of the 'RSPB Big School Bird Watch' year 2 have been spotting birds around school.  We collected and recorded the data we found. We had to look carefully at the birds as some were very similar.

While we were bird spotting we were very excited to see a double rainbow.

How many colours can you see in the rainbow?  How did it feel to see the rainbow?  Do you know how the rainbow is made?

There are five colours in the rainbow, Miss Joseph, they are: blue, green, yellow, red and purple.
I feel happy because I like to look at rainbows and especially when it rains.
I think the rainbow is made when rain and sun combine and it produces a rainbow.
My favourite bird because I like its patterns on its wings. The most common bird that I saw was a Wood pigeon.
