Our finished bird feeders!

We are so please with our finished bird feeders.  We are going to be keeping an eye out of our window to see if we get many birds coming to visit us.





Can you describe the properties of Omar's bird feeder?

Today we finished a few more bird feeders.  They are looking really good. We checked our bird feeders against our success criteria.




At lunch time however I had a bit of a shock when a bird got stuck inside Poppy and Simi's bird feeder.  We had to make the whole in the bottle bigger to let the bird out.  It is good news that the birds are enjoying our bird feeders already.  The bird that was trapped was a greenfinch which is quite rare.  Keep a look out the classroom window and you may see it again. 



How can we make sure the birds dont get trapped in the bottles?

      I'm glad you liked finishing your bird feeder Blakeney. It looked fantastic! What else do you think you could build to help the environment? What properties would it need to have?
